On Completing PackagesA package is a significant undertaking, often requiring dozens of hours or more, to achieve the full end result. Sometimes we may feel that we want to quit before having attained the full end result that is possible from a package. We don't enforce or require that a person finishes the package they are working on. To do so would not be in anyone's best interest. Everyone needs to have free choice about this sort of work. In going through a package you will very likely be noticing that positive changes are happening at every step along the way, often those positive changes will be very relevant to the topic of the package. Sometimes while you are working on a package for improving communication, suddenly your finances dramatically improve or you get a dramatic improvement somewhere in your life that isn't directly related to what you are working on in the package. There are many reasons why a person may choose not to finish a package. Some of them are because of difficulties with the current package. Therefore we ask, if you feel tempted to set the package aside and not continue, that you let us review your situation ( we will strive to keep this at a minimal cost to you.), and your progress on the package with you. A package is a generalized set of procedures that is designed to work for the greatest number of people possible. The shotgun approach if you will. However, it may need to be fine tuned for your particular situation. For instance, you may have ahieved the end result quite early into the package, that's great. Let's just verify that it's solid, and celebrate. You may feel that something has already been handled, and that we are rehandling it unnecessarily. In this case, oftentimes there are multiple levels and aspects of the issue that we are looking at. We recommend that you verify that each aspect has been fully handled. This can also show up a feeling that it's sort of grinding, or that there is upset building up about continuing. This sometimes happens. There are ways to handle it so that you can move smoothly through it, and get the full benefit available through the package. Another possible situation is you got what you wanted from doing the package, you feel much better now. However, the package is asking you to do multiple steps beyond that, and you don't think you need it. Well, mainly this happens when a package is approached from the point of view of handling a problem, rather than going for an entirely new perceptual bias. And, that's fine. Realize, in this case, that there is more to get from the package than what you are interested in getting. Consider also, that stopping before full completion because the issue no longer bothers you is indicative of your motivation style which would be one of moving away from what you don't want. This kind of motivation inherently means that you live with more stress than if you primarily move toward. The results are now ok, so it's not bad enough to have to move away from it. That doesn't mean thats all thats possible, but that you've handled enough of it to not be bothered by it anymore. The other thing in this case would be since you haven't handle the full spectrum of issues that are related to the topic, it could potentially revert back to being an area of concern. That's a good reason to see a package through to completion, so that you know that you've gotten each and every contributing aspect fully handled. There are as many reasons for not continuing as there stars in the sky. However, these are some of the most common ones. No matter what the situation, it can be handled so that you can get the full benefits that are available. |
